Join the APAC Education & Engagement Subcommittee for an interactive virtual workshop focused on building accessible, user-friendly digital content.
Grounded in universal design principles from Reach Everyone, Teach Everyone by Kristen Behling and Thomas Tobin, this session will introduce best practices for designing accessible Word documents and PowerPoint slide decks. Participants will engage in hands-on evaluation of sample materials, applying strategies in real time to better understand how small, meaningful improvements can enhance inclusivity for all users.
By the end of the workshop, participants will be able to:
- Discuss the value of incorporating accessible documents and slide decks
- Identify opportunities to enhance accessibility in digital materials
- Apply simple, incremental strategies using common tools such as Microsoft Word and PowerPoint
