The UIC Simulation and Integrative Learning (SAIL) Institute helps health professions educators improve clinical performance and patient safety through simulation-based instruction, assessment, quality improvement, and research. Founded in 1987 as one of the first standardized patient centers in the world, SAIL has grown into a comprehensive simulation center featuring high-fidelity mannequins, procedural skills labs, virtual and enhanced reality simulators, and standardized patient rooms. Accredited by both the American College of Surgeons and the Association of Standardized Patient Educators, SAIL provides state-of-the-art facilities to advance clinical education and innovation.
Event Description:
Step inside UIC’s innovative SAIL lab and explore how immersive simulation is transforming health sciences education. This 1.5-hour session includes a one-hour guided tour of SAIL’s cutting-edge learning environments, followed by 30 minutes of networking with fellow Academic Professional staff over snacks and refreshments. Get a firsthand look at the exciting work happening at UIC and connect with colleagues across campus.
Registration is required and closes at Noon on Friday April 24.
