About
Rachel Najdzin has been part of the UIC community for 11 years and brings over 20 years of experience in higher education. She currently serves as the Executive Director of Advising for the College of Applied Health Sciences, where she leads initiatives to enhance student success and academic support. In addition to her leadership role, she has taught yoga in the Department of Kinesiology and instructs AHS 100, the College of Applied Health Sciences’ first-year seminar. She is also part of the UIC AHS Empowerment Liaisons and serves as the staff advisor for the student organization Mental Health and Disability Alliance. Rachel is dedicated to fostering collaboration, equity, and a welcoming environment for students, staff, and faculty alike.
Rachel holds two master’s degrees — one in Academic Advising Administration from Kansas State University and another in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Northeastern Illinois University.
