This year, the holiday season will be a lot different than before. More than ever, the holidays can often feel overwhelming, increase stress, anxiety or create professional or personal tensions. This event offers participants the opportunity to learn more about how life stress can be addressed in healthy ways. Featured speakers, Geri Biamonte, MSW, LCSW will introduce resources for support available through UIC, and Jenna Bauer, PsyD, will offer a brief mindfulness meditation
practice which can be easily used in difficult moments.

Speaker Information:

Geri Biamonte MSW LCSW, Employee Assistance Service, University of Illinois at Chicago: Geri Biamonte
is a graduate of Southern Illinois University and the University of Illinois of Chicago Jane Addams School
of Social Work. She has practiced occupational social work for 20 years with specialty experience
providing support services to medical professionals including physicians, residents and nurses.  (no

Jenna Bauer, PsyD is the Assistant Director for Mind/Body Programs, Clinical Psychologist, Counseling
Center, University of Illinois Chicago. Dr. Jenna Bauer received her BA in Psychology from UW-Madison
and her MA and PsyD in Clinical Psychology from Alliant International University in San Francisco, CA.
She is a staff psychologist and the Assistant Director of Mind/Body Programs at the University of Illinois
at Chicago, Counseling Center, and has a private practice in Chicago. Jenna has a passion for mind/body
wellness is a certified Koru Mindfulness teacher, a 200-hour Certified Yoga Instructor, a Trained mPEAK
Coach, a certified HeartMath® Interventions Practitioner, and has been trained in mindful self-
compassion and trauma-sensitive yoga.
