Professional Development Award Program

With support from the UIC Office of the Chancellor, APAC is pleased to announce the Academic Professional Development Program (AP PD). The AP PD Program is an educational program at UIC that provides funding to academic professionals to build their knowledge and skills related to their current job responsibilities. It is expected that participants will work with their supervisors and home units to select learning opportunities that can be reasonably expected to enhance their job performance.

The program is administered by the APAC Professional Development Subcommittee. The group will be responsible for the solicitation, receipt and review of applications, notification of awardees, and disbursement of funds. Solicitation of applications is to be done through email announcements on the P-Academy listserv and posting on the APAC website.

This was such a wonderful opportunity and I am grateful to have been awarded funds to pursue professional development. The APAC Executive Committee members responded to emails in a timely manner and were friendly. This program is something that I would recommend to other Academic Professionals.
