APAC currently has three (9) representatives serving on the UIC Senate for staggered three-year terms.
Our current UIC Senate AP Representatives are:
- Agnes Herget, AP Senator (Term: 2024-2027)
- Carol Schuster, AP Senator (Term: 2025-2027)
- Donald Kamm, AP Senator (Term: 2025-2027)
- Colleen Piersen, AP Senator (Term: 2023-2026)
- Sharon Hayes, AP Senator (Term: 2025 – 2026)
- Larisa Burke, AP Senator (Term: 2025 – 2026)
- Rodney Chambers, AP Senator (Term: 2022-2025)
- James Alford, AP Senator (Term: 2025-2025)
- Joseph Chambers, AP Senator (Term: 2025-2025)
Nominations and election for the Senate AP Representatives are now open. The Academic Professional Advisory Committee is responsible for conducting a nomination and election process for Academic Professional (AP) Representatives to the UIC Senate. There are a total of nine (9) representatives in all but three (3) seats are open for nominations. APAC is making a call to all academic professional employees to consider self-nominations to be an AP Representative to the UIC Senate starting in 2025.
Completed Nomination Forms must be received by 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 2, 2025. Please review the information and nomination form below.
Responsibilities of UIC Senate AP Representative:
APs who serve as UIC Senate AP Representative do so in addition to their regular University-related duties. UIC Senate AP Representatives are to attend the regular UIC Senate meetings and may also serve as AP Representative on UIC Senate committees. UIC Senate AP Representatives can also serve as members of APAC and will be required to report to APAC at the committee’s monthly meetings.
